The Courtyard and the cloister walk is a prominent feature in almost any Monastery.
Our courtyard is open to the public and is also home to two cats
that are assigned the task of keeping the vines free of birds.

St Benedict
of the Great Plains
A hand cast bronze statue commissioned for the Centennial Celebration of Assumption Abbey.
This statue is by artist/sculptor Raymond Rogers of Mott, ND, may be found in the East Garden of the monastery.

The Sacred Heart
of Jesus
Standing on the site of the former Science Building, this statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was presented to the Abbey as a memorial for Robert Miske, a student in our school by Mr. & Mrs. Leo Miske. This statue stood outside of the school building until 1996 when it was reset on this site.
