The Abbey Library was built in the 1940s to serve the Abbey College. The lower level is home to the Assumption Abbey Press, The main level holds our library, and the upper level in the days of the college held classrooms, and the music department. |

Revealing its past as a classroom, a large part of the second floor serves as editorial offices for the American Benedictine Review.
The second floor also serves the museum work rooms, and as a place for hobbies.

The main floor of the Library Building is taken up by the library, where over 95,000 accessions dating back from the 1500s grace the stacks.
There is no computer here yet, all of the volumes are carded in triplicate in the card files. Since the close of the school, we have specialized in books on theology, spirituality and religion.

The lower level of the Library is home to the Assumption Abbey Press, a small full service commercial printing venture.
