Mission Statement of Assumption Abbey
The Benedictine Monks of Assumption Abbey are a community of religious men, baptized in Christ, and vowed to continue the mission of His Church. In the spirit of St. Benedict, the community conceives its purpose to be an active ministry on behalf of God.
Simply put, we are a community of Benedictine monks who are praying and serving in varied ways to sanctify time, place and people.
The Development Office of Assumption Abbey
has a three-
1. To share our Benedictine way of life with people outside of the monastery. At the local level, this includes inviting people to our liturgies. For people who are not in our local area, we have a Partners in Prayer program, prayers for the souls of the faithful departed and other prayer responsibilities. In essence, we strive to inform and include people about our Benedictine life and to help fulfill the mission of the Church.
